Wakey wakey friends! It’s mid-week! What? How’d we get here? I indulged myself this morning and slept 15 minutes extra and I also skipped my 2 mile power walk (I’ll prob do it later though as I feel some sense of guilt if I don’t do it because I’m weird and stuff)! As you might know I wasn’t really feeling myself yesterday night and I’m not quite back to 100% today either but I’ll get there. It actually felt kind of good just ignoring the alarm and enjoying that 15 more minutes of rest! It’s ok not to be ok sometimes ya know? I’m too hard on myself sometimes and I forget I don’t always have to be Miss Mary Sunshine as my sister dubbed me. But that’s me…I’m always smiley, laughing, happy so being a bit down is weird for me! It makes me feel a little lost. Thanks for your comments and encouragement on IG! It really made me feel better about my little pity party. I didn’t want to burden anyone with my silly sobbing but you guys totally came through for me 🙂

Doll cheeks for the win!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m embracing all the dolly things this Summer. Doll dresses, doll makeup, doll lashes…! Try to stop me! My new thing is pairing up Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes with Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara. I’ve sort of given up hope that I’ll ever get the hype that surrounds Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara! It doesn’t really do this wonderful thing everyone claims it does on Tiktok, Instagram, etc…! I was pretty determined to make it work and the only good application I get from it is when I pair it with something else as the last coat in my application. I pull it through my lashes after Lights, Camera, Lashes and it adds a bit more volume while separating my lashes. Good doll look!

Anyway, back to the stain! I’m ever always a big supporter and fan of gel blushes and stains which makes me want to try this out! I’m a little meh on the dewy finish but that’s tameable with a bit of powder. If it’s as pigmented as they say this tube will last ages (0.40 oz).

• Glasscase (vibrant raspberry)
• Dewality (vivid coral)
• Luminary (peachy beige)

Kat may be gone but the brand isn’t given up on Lolita I see!

Oh by the way…curious what Modcon means? Me too! Apparently Modcon stands for Modern Contour a new breakthrough formula that adds depth and dimension to your face….! Ooooooo! Dunno if a liquid gel is going to do all that but I’m game!

The beauty airwaves are alive with the news that Harry Styles is coming our with a makeup and fragrance collection soon According to reports Harry has allegedly filed a trademark under the “wholesale of perfume and cosmetics” category. Harry’s name is listed as well as Emma Spring, his former personal assistant.

One Direction had a few fragrances several years ago if you recall.

There are some hardcore One Direction fans out there and many of them love Harry Styles so this might just take off. We have no way of knowing if and when this will happen. Filing a trademark is just the very first baby step in launching a full-on beauty brand. This could be a year or two down the road or it may not even happen at all.

I do know I’m somewhat shocked celebrities have jumped on board with beauty lately as the bubble really has broken and now seems like the worst time to become involved with a beauty brand. But it doesn’t seem to stop celebs like Selena Gomez, J-Lo, Halsey, and more from launching beauty brands.

2020-2021 has definitely been the year of the celeb beauty take over.
