Anastasia Beverly Hills Rose Metals Palette is now available at ulta.com and the question of the moment is, “Do we want it?” I’ve never had to ask this question before when it came to Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyeshadow Palettes. It was more a question of, “WHEN CAN I GET THIS? I NEED IT NOW!” But the last few releases have been meh for me and I find myself being very unexcited to pick them up. Also, dare I say it? The Norvina Palettes were just too much for me. I think those palettes were gorgeous and they’re thrilling for anyone who wants a bunch of bold eyeshadows in their life. But it doesn’t feel like a realistic selection of shades that the average consumer would use daily. It’s not like you’re going to go to the office in bright oranges and purples! Could be I’m getting older and just don’t appreciate loud shades as much as I used to.

We suffer no such issues with the Rose Metals Eyeshadow Palettes! No crazy colors here! No bright oranges or bold blues! This is a pretty elegant eyeshadow palette for Holiday or evening looks. It includes 12 brand new shades in matte and highly-reflective metallic shimmers. As you may have noticed it’s a “palette” and not an “eyeshadow palette” which means there are shades that can’t be used on the eyes. Lucky enough, it’s not an half or even quarter amount of shadows that aren not eye safe! It’s merely one. Dune is the shade no recommended for eye use.

Shades include:

• Rose Quartz (metallic pink champagne with sparkling reflects)
• Royal (sparkling burgundy with pink reflects)
• Haze (metallic silver gold with multi-dimensional reflects)
• Rose Fire (metallic fiery copper with multi-dimensional reflects)
• Sunrose (matte peachy-brown with sparkling reflects)
• Nova (metallic golden bronze with multi-dimensional reflects)
• Heavenly (metallic platinum gold with multi-dimensional reflects)
• Element (metallic rosy brown)
• Ashes (matte greyish-taupe with sparkling reflects)
• Dune (matte rustic brown)
• Nocture (metallic greystone with sparkling reflects)
• Noble (matte plum brown)

As with all things this palette has a bit of a price increase by around $10. Remember when the 12-pan eyeshadow palettes were $45? They are now $55!

The question of whether I want this or not is still unanswered. Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps…but for now I’m not yet reaching for my wallet.

Billie Eilish is set to launch an Eilish No. 2 Fragrance for the Holiday 2022 season! Eilish No.2 launches in mid-November Eilish No.2 on billieeilishfragrances.com just in time for gifting. As you know I fell in love with the original Eilish Perfume (read my review if you haven’t already). It’s a chocolate amber gourmand that blew me out of the water. It came as a shock and delight for a first time celebrity fragrance. I hate to say this but if we’re honest a lot of celebrity fragrances aren’t terribly unique but Billie really created something refreshingly interesting with her first fragrance launch and I’m all about how gorgeous it smells! It’s in my top rotation of Fall fragrances!

In a recent interview, Billie describes what Eilish No.2 will smell like without completely revealing the notes just yet. She said she wanted something that smelled dark, wet, gray, cold, and metallic-like. She also wanted it to be gender-fluid with notes of spice, pine needles, and pepper! But she also goes on the describe how her favorite scent smells like a sexy walk into the rain with a salty element and how she wanted to incorporate that into Eilish No.2. Hmmm…! That’s a lot of info but I can’t really pinpoint what it is I’d be smelling with all that going on!

I’m not sure if Eilish No.2 will be as warm, inviting, and delicious as the original fragrance. This time around it seems like Billie might be going a bit darker! I can’t wait to smell it.

Eilish No.2 retails at $72 for 3.4 oz.

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Beautifying Palette for Holiday 2022 is available in both a Fair to Medium and Tan to Deep shade selection with two blushes and two highlighters each and please don’t judge me but I want both. Like most makeup lovers I’m under the Pillow Talk trance and part of the cult that loves the shade. As a member of the cult, that means I need to buy anything that looks remote likely Pillow Talk or is named after the shade. The addiction is real. I just love how flattering a shade Pillow Talk is and no matter what product Charlotte releases shaded like it I end up adoring it and finding it so flattering on my skin tone.

The new Pillow Talk Beautifying Face Palette sadly doesn’t come cheap. Each palette contains four shades each and will set you back $75. Ouch! But you know that’s not going to stop me.
