Prescriptives Winter Reflections All Over Highlighter Pearls Review & Swatches

One of the first item that captured and caught my attention from Prescriptives AGLOW was of course the Prescriptives Winter Reflections All-Over-Highlighter Pearls. Although you might be quick to compare them to Guerlain Meteorites, the Muse feels the products are comparable in style but that’s about it. Aside from the fact that they are both pearls I think they happen to be very, very different!

The Prescriptives Winter Reflections All-Over-Highlighter Pearls consist of a dominant shade of rose and follow up closing by peach and white. I felt like the pearls worked almost as a blush as they deepened the shade of my own blush and cast a faint luminance to my cheeks and face. The pearls have enough pigmentation to work completely by themselves on bare skin if you’d like a natural pink glow to your face which is the main difference between these and Meteorites. Meteorites are not nearly pigmented enough to multitask as a blush and a highlighter which is why the Prescriptives ones are quite lovely!

The finished result is a nicely highlighted face with a bit of a cool glow. These should appeal to anyone who wants a a bit of highlight but not shimmer overload. Taking into consideration that many highlighting powders and pearls overdose on shimmer these should be a nice change from that as they just cast a glow minus shimmer, glitter, and sparkle.

The price of the pearls is $35 USD which isn’t bad at all considering that these will last you simply ages! I liked these alot and recommend getting to your nearest counter to swatch and play around with them for yourself. I imagine you’ll fall in love with them as much as I did.

The Muse Approves these for purchase to give a bit of a Holiday glow to cheeks and face! Loves it!

Loving these?

Sephora Holiday Catalog 2008

If you haven’t already gotten it the Sephora Holiday Catalog 2008 should be winging it’s way to your inbox soon!

Although the catalog is considerably more simple than years past I really enjoyed the looks they created on some of the models and felt like they were all really do-able for yourself. Sephora has updated it’s youTube channel with short how-to’s on each look.

As beauty blogger the catalog doesn’t hold that special appeal to me as it used to considering that I have been blogging Holiday since early September and getting the catalog is somewhat of a snore because I’ve seen it all or tried it already. I kind of miss that warm, squishy feel I used to get when it arrived in the mail. Now I mostly end up concentrating on the looks and not the products.

Well that’s one I hadn’t heard! Must try this tip!

I thought all the looks this year were completely used friendly and was particularly thrilled with the Golden Goddness look which introduced the Stila Duo in Terracotta to me. How did I miss this shadow duo? So gorg! The Muse wants it!

Here’s the video from youTube on how to achieve these great looks:

The catalog couldn’t come at a better time considering that Sephora Friends and Family starts this week! Yay!

Did you get your catalog yet?

Anything in particularly getting your attention?

You can read more about the looks, how to do them yourself, and what was used by clicking here!
