Spring 2009: Guerlain Exotic Paradise Collection

Elegance is always the order of business with Guerlain which in turn has me quite excited about the release of the Guerlain Spring Collection 2009 Exotic Paradise.

I think the main focus of the collection is the new Guerlain Exotic Paradise Eyeshadow Palette. I’m liking the candy green tint to the compact the quad colors look quite friendly as well if not a bit on the Summery side a la Givenchy’s Spring Collection. But that’s ok I can always stash away until June if it fails to work in the Spring!

I find my purchases from Guerlain are mostly limited to Holiday Collections however this compact may change my mind!

Also being released are new Guerlain Single Eyeshadows available in 10 shades and two new Guerlain Kiss Kiss Lipsticks formulas (one with a matte finish the other with a shimmer.

And finally a brand new product which is the Guerlain Eyeshadow Primer. I see quite a few brands releasing primers lately so it’s nice to see Guerlain releasing it’s own version. I’m quite curious about this and may purchase it.

All in all the collection looks rather nice and the temptation of the shadow compact and primer being on my hit list.

What do you think?

Like this collection?

Holding our for something else?

Pieces of Life: The Monday Morning Edition

Morning guys!

Happy Monday! Oh my god tis like the Monday from hell! Was so hard dragging my butt out of bed this morning after having so many days off. I swear the last few days have been so completely relaxing! I’m always running around doing this, that, and the other thing and never have enough free time to just sit down and veg! The last few days I did just that. Total vegetable. It was so lovely. I caught up on a few books I’ve been meaning to read, played stupid amounts of WoW, watched a slew of geeky flicks with my mate Martin (we generally have the same retarded taste in sci-fi films one of which was Capricorn One circa before James Brolin became Barbra Streisand’s b*tch…what? I love Barbra but we all know she has James on lock down!), and just really enjoyed doing absolutely nothing!

Jump ahead to read more about my Monday, the weekend, and what’s ahead at Musings!

Oh and I was really productive and stuff this weekend too so I did do other stuff that wasn’t in the realms of playing dead and acting like a veggie! Read on….

For the longest time my main ring tone was the Time Warp so I decided to change it this weekend. What? I’m still in Halloween mode I guess…sue me!

Check it and tell me whatcha think 😉

I also switched up the slider to play the sound of the Tardis launching! Loves it!

See? Told ya I was productive!

I have a slew of posts for you today including my Year End Favorites list, my New Year’s Resolution post, a giveaway or two, and a few other tricks up my sleeves so stay tuned! Oh which reminds me I know the past few days you haven’t seen many reviews but don’t worry those are coming along too and we’ll be back to cosmetic nirvana shortly!

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend and you’re back on the “back to work” bandwagon! After a few diet cherry pepsis, some tea, and a bit of coffee the Muse promises you’ll be all awake and alert enough to deal with Monday morning!

Feel free to spread the cheer about your weekend and what you did, what you hauled, and any trouble you got into! My comment box is open and my eyes are listening!

xoxo <--------whoa how gossip girl of me!

Dior Night Diamond All Over Diamond Dust Powder Price Cut @ Sephora

Although the Muse absolutely adores her Dior Night Diamond All Over Diamond Dust Powder and strokes it lovingly, and tells it how pretty is is, and reminds it how much she cares about….what was I saying?

Oh yea!

Although I simply adore my Dior Night Diamond I’m a little disappointed that the price has been completely chopped down!

The Muse paid a whopping $80 USD for the compact and it’s now down to $59 USD….le sigh. I feel rather badly that I shelled out so much and now it’s down over $20 bucks! That stinks! I’m contemplating calling Sephora and asking for a refund.

Although the Muse felt it was well worth it’s costly price tag, the good news is if you didn’t originally take advantage of it at full price you can now get it at a considerably savings!

Happy Shopping!

WANT: Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash

If the promo image is anything to go by, Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash may be something to look forward to and could be added to the old wishy list!

Mysterious, dark, gorgeous lashes await you with Make Up For Ever brand new mascara, Smoky Lash.

Well..maybe all that doesn’t await me…I haven’t tried it yet so I’m not the authority on anything mysterious, dark, or gorgeous however have no fear I’ll be adding it to the review list shortly as I am intrigued by this one.

The mascara offers the standard fair of adding curl, volume, and length to lashes however it also has a deeply pigmented formula which was designed to create a volumized look to lashes. Be still my beating heart! It sounds almost to good to be true!

I am slightly weary of the brush applicator as it looks a tad bit messy considering the formula appears extra thick and gooey but aside from that it does look pretty good and the promo model is really selling the Muse on it.

I must have it!

WANT!

How about you?

What do you think?

Wants it?

Not so much?
