I dunno about you but my face needs a revamp after the Winter. When the warm weather begins to set it I seriously need to work to get my skin in proper Summer ready order. Winter is harsh for me as it dries my skin out, causes gross flaking, and just generally destroys the freshness my skin normally has. What am I left with? Dull, dry, in need of help skin.

So to wake up my winter skin this year I’ve tried out Clarins Super Restorative Replenishing Comfort Mask and I proceeded to say hello to soft Summer skin!

Although it’s a tad expensive and it’s made for mature skin I still likey Clarins Super Restorative Replenishing Comfort Mask. Props because it smells so heavenly (soft rose floral scent) but bigger props for making my face so smooth and moisturized.

The mask is a moisturizing pink cream that you apply generously to skin and leave on 10 minutes. I leave it on half an hour, might as well get all the moisturizing I can get for the $62 price tag. After time has elapsed I proceed to rinse it off with cool water. My skin feels nicely moisturized after use, very soft and nourished, and just generally pampered.

The greatest thing about it?

I love how I apply a super generous layer and I’m left with a slew of what appears to be lotion on my face. But within the time I leave it on, be it 10 or 30 minutes, my skin literally sucks the mask up. It’s a pretty awesome effect as when I look in the mirror after a time my face is virtually clear of the mask prior to my rinse. Pretty cool!

If you’re seeking something to bring a bit more moisture into your life or looking for way to revive dry skin or dullness left over from the Winter this is worthy of a look at. It’s quite expensive though so it may have you second thinking whether it’s something you need or not. Clarins has my heart lately and I was pretty delighted for what this did for my skin. If I were you I’d head to counter and ask for a tiny sample to try out, you might find yourself falling for it too!

Well, that’s about it folks! Pretty nice right? I’m lemming a majority of it as everything looks super nice especially those primers. The price ranges aren’t too bad considering sterling is converting decently to USD at the moment although if available in the US it might be considerably lower priced with many coupon and sale options. I’m trying to sit on my hands and not jump on board asking people to haul me some as I’m wondering if Boots might go ahead and do a buy two get one sale soonish? But I know myself and I’ll jump to snag some way before that.

If you’re wanting it your options are to fly to the UK (not a terrible thing I’ll come with too!), have a friendly Brit buy some for you (check MUA, forums, etc…), or search evil-bay UK (on occasion deals do arise on the UK side of the evilness).

I must say this looks like an astoundingly good collection from L’Oreal and it’s a shame we probably won’t ever see in the US or if we do it’ll be sized down and revamped to be el suck.

I’m ever so intimidated by the Chantecaille counter. Hold me I’m scared. Chantecaille reps scare the beegees outta me so I normally avoid the counter and order online if I’m self indulging myself in beautifully prestigious makeup. I don’t own a ton of Chantecaille but the few pieces I do have are safe guarded by two very large growling dogs but anyway onto the beauty news of the days!

After a long, long, very long, pretty long, long, why did it take this long?, long time Chantecaille has gone live with it’s brand new website which includes an online shop with the entire Chantecaille collection!

Chantecaille has had a website for a long time but it was rarely updated and you couldn’t purchase anything from it. How pleasant that the site is now newly revamped with an online store for browsing and finding out more about the brand and making possible purchases. Truly this is a great day.

Walmart has recently expanded it’s cosmetic aisles to appeal to the junkies that explore the empire for a deal or two or three. The Muse herself has been known to hit up the Walmart cosmetic aisle for a steal and a deal on a rare occasion when her sister forces her to tag along on long expeditions to explore cheap warez and goods.

In further news Walmart intends to expand even further, the Deathstar got nothing on this empire! It’ll be a bigger, badder Walmart than you’ve ever known before!

Walmart may have your money but they want to keep it to. In a bid to keep customers clamoring for more Walmart has plans to expand it’s line by dumping many brands and bringing in higher end merchandise. But..but…but that’s why I shop Target!

I dunno if this really applies to cosmetic goods but Walmart has already begun revamping many 3,600 of it’s store base to include many big name brands. One can hope this means you’ll see Dior on your next trip to Walmart but don’t be too surprised if you don’t k? In the Muse’s opinion they should spend a few billion dollars on the cosmetic aisles.
