Do you know how to apply your Hyaluronic Acid the right way? You might be surprised to learn you’re doing it wrong! I always find HA reviews online interesting because many expressed how dry their skin felt after applying Hyaluronic Acid! Dry? That can’t be right!

Hyaluronic Acid is humectant. It acts like a sponge and draws moisture to your skin while helping to retain that moisture. It’s one of the best things you can use if you have dull, drier skin as it acts to pull in moisture and plumps up your skin. And as I always say, well hydrated skin is not only happier skin but also younger and brighter skin. I personally have duller, drier skin and my number one way to rid myself of dullness is moisture. If you’re well hydrated your skin will look a lot less duller and you’ll get back that natural luminous glow.

If you’re experiencing dryness directly after Hyaluronic Acid you might just be applying it wrong!

Ahhhh Angel! I have such a love hate relationship with you! Perhaps the new Mugler Angel Nova will help me to love more and hate a little less. Angel can be an overwhelming scent experience due the heavy dose of patchouli. That patchouli has a seriously hard kick and when you present it to someone like me who likes sweet gourmands it can be a really hard pill to swallow. Honestly, I’d rather bath in Flowerbomb than mist myself down with Angel. It’s just too harsh! Too loud! Too HEY HERE I AM! I wanna meet the man out there that actually thinks Angel is sexy. I always feel like Angel is an intimidating force of nature that men probably smell and curl away in absolute agony when their girlfriend or wife wears it.

But if nothing else Thierry does know how to make good on the Angel juice and create other more interesting blends from it. Angel Muse? Totally love it! Completely different from the original Angel and quite lovely. This is why I never overlook an Angel release. I know Angel can make the haters a little wary of trying out something new and different with the same name but I promise you some Angel releases are good ones!

As with most fragrance launches Mugler always does a big push for Spring seasonal launches as Valentine’s Day nears. Angel Nova Eau de Parfum arrives just in time for the romantic season ahead. This is a fruity floral with notes of raspberry and rose but sadly, the base does contain akigalawood which is fractionated from patchouli oil. That akigalawood is going to make or break the fruitiness of the raspberry and the delicateness of the rose. It might compliment but not overwhelm the fruity floral notes or it might just take over them! It’s really hard to say with Mugler perfumes! They can go either way! We’ll all have to smell it and see how it turns out.

Mugler Angel Nova Eau de Parfum is available now!

Colourpop Valentine’s Day 2021 arrives on Feburary 3rd and it marks the 6th collection that launched since January 1st. So, what have we seen so far? The Animal Crossing Collection, the Lunar Year Launch, the new lip masks, the Wild Child Collection, The Cloud Spun Collection, the Love Struck Quads, there’s more, help me out here! Well, thank you Colourpop! I’m officially overwhelmed and it’s just now February 1st.

Ironically, I’ll bitch and whine and piss and moan when Too Faced, Urban Decay, and Tarte are launching collections too quickly but when Colourpop does it I’m all, “OOOO SO PRETTY!!” Must be the budget beauty friendly prices that do me in. But you can legit just sink your entire retirement into Colourpop! I picture people buying like every single collection! It’s not too farfetched considering how quickly it all sells out. The day of launch is typically 10AM PST and by 11PST most of it is gone. Obviously they are doing something right.

This collection includes three new pink, rose, and red Love Struck Eyeshadow Palettes plus three new heart shaped blushes that look like the old Too Faced Love Flush Blushes! They also have a few Fourth Ray Beauty items, a heart mirror and a highlighter. Oh and a face stamp! Are we still doing face stamps? The palettes and blush are the star of the show though!

Do I need any of this?

Absolutely not.

Do I want some of it?

Yeah. I’m a sucker. Here’s my money Colourpop do what you will with it!
