Perfume lovers rejoice I’m lifting your fragrance ban for the Summer and allowing you to take advantage of some great new scents like Viva La Juicy Glace, DKNY Nectar Love, and Prada’s new delicious Candy Gloss.

Which do we need?

Perhaps all three!

I’m the Muse and I’m guilty of loving Juicy Couture fragrances! Viva La Juicy Glace is the newest one to arrive this Summer. Considering Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Sucre released just a few short months ago I didn’t expect a new fragrance so soon but I’m not complaining. Juicy Glace is described as a warm blanket of snow white jasmine flowers surrounded by fresh fruits encased in ice with notes of mandarin and pear sorbet with soft floral notes of orange blossom, jasmine as well as vanilla and sandalwood. They had me at fresh fruits encased in ice if you were wondering!

DKNY Nectar Love sparks interest with the promise of being a floral fruity gourmand that contains extract of honeycomb and neroli as well as yellow freesia, and muguet swirled with mandarin.

And last but not least Prada Candy Gloss draws attention with a sweet acid cherry blend swirled with orange blossom, rose, and musk to create a sensual sorbet. I don’t like the original Prada Candy fragrances but I’m hearing rave reviews for Candy Gloss so, I grabbed this up during the early launch at Sephora yesterday.

Have you tried any of these new scents yet?

The box is really rather brilliant! Vibrant, deep pink roses decorate the front and the back has a sketched angel/fairy design. Very fantasy art like and not really what I’d expect from the brand.

Infusion de Rose is the newest member of the Infusion Collection and features rose as its master note.

Let’s take a look!

If you enjoy more traditional rose scents, well, Prada Infusion de Rose isn’t exactly going to give it to you. This one is pretty complex and has a certain maturity about it that won’t quite appeal to everyone.

A dominate note of freshly cut rose permeates the blend but you have alot of complex layers that add a powdery overall finish to the fragrance.

Peppermint brings something fresh to the rose however it’s not easy to detect as a note. Brazilian Mate South American Mate brings the fragrance into a green place and embodies the floral notes giving them depth. I think the Beeswax note, which mimics honey, is what adds the maturity and powder to the blend and it’s probably this note that keeps me from truly loving Infusion de Rose.

The blend isn’t particularly fresh but has a cloying floral surrounding it with a deeper green level and a heavy dominate honey note that morphs everything and brings it into the realm of heaviness.

Without a doubt you have alot of unique complexity here but Prada Infusion de Rose isn’t quite my favorite Infusion from Prada and proves a little too heavy for me.

Those who like heavier florals with powdery dry downs will enjoy this. It really begs to be sniffed prior to making a full decision on it.

Prada Infusion de Rose is the latest edition to the Infusion collection.

One of my signature notes is Rose, I absolutely adore a good rose scent so I’m quite excited to see how Prada handles it.

For their new Infusion de Rose they take soft feminine notes of fresh rose metals and mingle it with tea, honey, and crushed mint leaves.

Here are the official notes for the blend:

• Rose from Bulgaria & Turkey Familiar yet unique, the feminine note of Rose brings a subtle
• depth and sumptuous femininity to the fragrance.
• Italian Mandarin The Sicilian citrus note of Mandarin adds a light, sparkling freshness.
• Peppermint Like fresh mint leaves crushed in the hand, refreshing Peppermint brings a clean aspect to Infusion de Rose.
• Brazilian Mate South American Mate leaf brings a smoky rich green aspect to the scent.
• Beeswax from Laos A full, warm note of Beeswax reminiscent of honey completes the fragrance

It sounds rather captivating doesn’t it? Particularly the use of mint!

I’m quite eager to try it.

Prada Infusion de Rose Fragrance launched on Friday and will be available from NeimanMarcus.com and BergdorfGoodman.com

Has anyone ever smelled Lush V? Or Lush Bathos? Both have this incredible note of violet that’s so beautiful yet so strong it gives you a headache.

How can something as delicate as a violet come across so terribly harsh?

I’ve always tolerated both V and Bathos but I secretly wished that Lush would tame them down and create a more softer, gentler scent.

In comes Prada Infusion D’iris which is exactly what I had always hoped for in a violet scent. So soft, so delicate, so very perfect.

Take a look!

Three years after the introduction of Prada d’Iris Eau de Parfum, Prada reveals its latest addition to the Iris Collection, Infusion, d’Iris Eau de Toilette, a softer, gentle, feminine floral scent guaranteed to make you feel oh so pretty.

I’m not partial to straight floral scents but Infusion d’Iris is one of those addicting scents that will have you sniffing your wrists constantly. It combines mellow notes of lily of the valley, powder violet, and freshly ironed linen to create a caress of fragrance that’s uniquely feminine and perfect.

The scent starts out with a dominate note of violet which I feel stays with the scent all day. I felt like the lily, cedar, and linen notes in the blend take a back seat to an aggressive yet delicate note of violet which creeps up and outward enveloping you in a comforting, sensual purity of violet.

Although an Eau de Toilette format it still manages to last and last and last as the day progresses. It’s not a scent that gives off amazing throw but it is one that wraps around those closest to you and surrounds your space in softness. It’s a scent that reminds me of freshly ironed sheets, naps on a rainy day, and just a comforting softness that can’t be described.   What it lacks in throw, it more than makes up for in linger!

If you really love Bathos and V from Lush, this is something you’ll enjoy immensely particularly because it lacks the harsh boldness that both V and Bathos has and instead relies on a beautiful softness to capture your attention.

Definitely have a small test your next stop at counter. It recently launched so you can find it at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, etc…..take a little sniff and tell me what you think, I imagine you’ll fall as fast for it as a I did particularly if you love softer floral fragrances.

Loves it.

Perfectly simply, beautiful, and all sorts of addictive.

Prada ‘Infusion d’Iris’ Eau de Toilette joins the Prada Woman’s Fragrance Family with a new chapter of sensory exploration inspired by the Iris.

Prada ‘Infusion d’Iris’ combines delicate lily of the valley with powdery, delicate notes of violet, sensual cedar, and clean linen making up a fresh, woody floral fragrance that’s ultra feminine.

I love the scent of violets and this comes across as a very dominate note in this blend. I’ll tell you more about it soon as I’m busy testing but I gotta say it’s a winner so far!

Prada ‘Infusion d’Iris’ Eau de Toilette is available on counter now at Nordstrom and other fine fragrance retailers for $65 to $115.

Prada Infusion de Tubéreuse joins the Prada Ephemeral Infusion Collection this Spring.

Do jump if you’re a Prada fragrance fan!

Prada Infusion de TubĂ©reuse is a mix of tuberose, petitgrain bigarade (fancy pants word for fragrance oil), and bloody orange. I’m quite curious how tuberose will smell mixed with blood orange, it sounds like a very unusual blend.

The packaging of Infusion de Tubéreuse references prints from the Prada fashion archives.

Mind you at prices ranging from $74 to $135 this one might strain your credit card.

It’s available starting April 15th from Neiman Marcus if the lemming is strong!

Anyone a Prada fragrance fan?

Spill the deets on your Prada high life livin’!
