I think they went with the movie look not the cartoon but yeah, it really isn’t what I expected from the collection!
]]>Exactly! I’m not a big fan of neons, but even I can see it working with the Meleficent theme in way that would make me want to buy it.
]]>I haven’t heard about the purchase limit to be honest so don’t really have an opinion on that….! I do think it’ll sell well none the less. I don’t love it but there are literally millions of disney fans and mac fans so I picture it selling out fast!
]]>Do you know if it’s true that there is no purchase limit on the Maleficent Collection? That seems weird to me. If so, maybe it’s because they already know that it’s not going to do too well; that they don’t want to get stuck with a ton of unsold product. Maybe they are hoping that some people will buy an extra back up or two, thinking they need to get it right away before it is all gone when, in probability, it won’t be moving that fast at all. What are your thoughts?
]]>I was thinking the same, Maleficent was always a lot of drama with stunning purple, bright green and black. Brown has nothing to do with Maleficent at all. I don’t get it.
There are tons of nudes and brown palettes already, this was a great chance for them to do something bright and out there and they didn’t. Hell they could have even jumped on the neon trend with a neon green. Instead we get…brown.
]]>Very true! I didn’t expect cutesy either way though. I was looking at the aspect of dark versus light. When I get the chance to see this in person I’ll see what I think. I have one of those Macy’s Thanks for Sharing cards burning a hole in my pocket so if I like some of the items I might get them if not there is no loss 🙂
]]>P.S.: and what’s with all the browns? if there is a color that does not occur to me when thinking about Maleficent it is brown, if they replaced all the browns with purples and greens it might have been nicer.
]]>It’s inspired by the movie so not so much about Spring/Summer theme but about the movie look which is supposed to be a dramatic, sultry look or at least that’s what I think they are going for.
